Our data center was built at Ground Zero to have the ability to counteract natural disasters such as flooding which cannot be prevented if the data center was built below Ground Zero. Also to maintain reliability, the data center foundation cannot be about Ground Zero because of significant risk of collapse due to equipment vibration.
The server room walls were built with reinforced concrete, 450 mm thick. This is to improve security and to minimize the loss of the internal microclimate. Also to improve security, the server room door is fire resistant and armored. The door can withstand 1000 degree Celsius heat for 72 minutes.
